FLATWEAVE RUGS

Flatweave rugs are made on a loom by weaving the weft threads (horizontal) through the warp threads (vertical) together in varying sequences to create pattern and texture. One of the oldest techniques of rug making handcrafted in India by master weavers, they would traditionally have been used for floors, beds, walls and even for packaging.

They are flatter and thinner than tufted and knotted rugs and are hard wearing and easy to care for.
